Transition to Parenthood

Intentions

  • To honor, heal and celebrate the transition of becoming a parent - what we give up, what we gain, and how we grow

  • To move through the cycles of life with ease, flexibility, lightness, and grace

  • To release the burdens, challenges, and hardships of parenthood and embrace this stage of life and all it has to offer from a centered whole place.

Description

There are feminine and masculine versions of an archetype that correspond to different stages in life. The three feminine aspects include the maiden, the mother, and the crone (or daughter, mother, grandmother), and the three masculine aspects include the hunter (or warrior), the father, and the sage (or son, father, grandfather).

Becoming a parent can be a wonderfully joyful, fulfilling experience filled with immense love. It also can be filled with the hardships and challenges that come from the demands of raising children. This ceremony is focused on honoring the threshold of being a parent - the good, the bad, and the ugly.

This ritual was called through Candace, a mother of 3-year-old twin girls, as she navigated a challenging situation in her motherhood journey. She turned to ceremony, as she often does, to work through the issues that were keeping her stuck and overwhelmed. After holding this ritual for herself she experienced a profound personal shift in her journey as a mother and is inspired to share that healing power with others.

She will be joined by her husband, Sebastien, who has also held this ceremony for himself as he faced frustration, overwhelm, and disconnection from himself. Afterward, he described it as an uplifting experience that helped him to be more patient with our children. We will lead this ceremony together, representing the two aspects of the mother and father.

This online circle gathering will help you:

  • Say goodbye to your former self (the maiden or the hunter); honor the part of you that stays behind and the things you loved, admired, and will miss.

  • Fully welcome and embrace your expanded self that carries the younger you within. Step into the age of parenthood and all the potential you will gain in this phase of life.

  • Let go of any pain and suffering that was experienced in crossing the threshold from maiden to mother or hunter to father, reclaim your power, and return to a state of wholeness.

  • Release immaturity, insecurity, self-doubt, and overwhelm and elevate to a state of higher consciousness, confidence, maturity, strength, compassion, flexibility, abundance, fulfillment, hope, and belonging.

  • Have love and compassion for yourself and your inner journey.

  • Tap into the powerful collective energy to aid in your role as a parent.

This ceremony is for mothers, fathers, and parents that identify in any way. Whether you are a parent-to-be, are a new parent, or are several years or decades in, this event is for you. You may wish to come with your wife, husband, or partner to this event if you have one or feel free to come alone. This ceremony is for all religious backgrounds, associations, and belief systems or lack thereof.

Bio

Candace Dalmagne-Rouge is the Founder of Ceremony, on a mission to help people honor, heal and celebrate the losses, transitions, and achievements of life. She does that by creating opportunities to cultivate sacred, inspired space - either alone through ritual kits, or with others through community gatherings - to bring power, presence, and reverence into life.

Candace was called to bring this vision to life after her ceremony experience began when she miscarried in 2019. She intuitively created a ceremony for her and her husband to grieve and heal and it was transformative in their healing journey - both immediately and over time.

She continues to use ceremony in many aspects of life - from the mundane to working through challenges to manifesting the heart’s desires. With nearly a decade of experience supporting entrepreneurs, small businesses, and startup ecosystems both locally and internationally, Candace combines her knowledge in entrepreneurship with her passion for holistic wellbeing in this latest venture. She has an MBA from the University of Dayton and outside of work, can be found raising her 3-year-old twins. She is passionate about sharing the restorative power of ceremony with people around the world.
